Garry's Obituary

Garry Ray Blosser passed away on March 1, 2021 at the age of 82 at Mercy Hospital. Garry was born August 22, 1938 to Levi and Marie Blosser in Beaver, OK. He attended Balko School and upon graduation he signed up for the Army Reserves where he served 8 years. During those years he earned a certificate in Carpentry at Oklahoma State Technical School in Okmulgee, OK. It was during these years he went back to Balko, OK where he married his high school sweetheart Estella Sue Naylor in 1960. Garry and Estella raised three children Lendell, Eddy, and Jason. In 1969 they moved to Oklahoma City where he began a career in Law Enforcement with the Nichols Hills Police Department. He retired from Nichols Hills as a Lieutenant after 20 years and then worked at the Oklahoma City Zoo until he retired at age 65. After his retirement, Garry continued to serve his Village Baptist Church family as a deacon and a member of the Prime Time Choir and also volunteered at BritVil Community Food Pantry. He was also an active member of the Village Lion’s Club. Garry was preceded in death by his parents and half-brother Wendell Ferguson. He is survived by his wife Estella of the home; sons Lendell, Eddy and wife Lauri, Jason and wife Tracy all of Edmond, OK. He is also survived by six grandchildren: Tanner and wife Laura of Rapid City SD, Josie, Zane, Abby, Lauren and Aaron, and his new great granddaughter Sylvia Gene Blosser.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to BritVil Community Food Pantry, Village Lion’s Club or the Village Baptist Leisure Adults Ministry. Memorial services are being held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday March 5, 2021 at Village Baptist Church.
