Arden's Obituary

Arden Gatlin passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 5. She began her vocal career when she was 12 years old, beginning in Junior High while living in Corpus Christie, Texas. Before she retired, Arden performed professionally in several states including Colorado, Oklahoma, New York, Tennessee and Texas.

She married Scott Andrews in 1994, and they had one son, Austin, who graduated from High School in June 2020. Arden's Parents are Doris Gatlin Cornell and Leroy Gatlin. Arden leaves one brother, Leroy, Oklahoma City, two sisters, Allyson Sullivan of Oklahoma City and Zetta Fayos, Syracuse, New York, plus eight nieces and nephews.

 Arden loved animals and because of her own allergies, she was one of the first to raise sphinx hairless cats, so others who suffered from allergies could have pets. Over the years, she collected numerous strays to feed and care for.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, January 19 at 2 P.M., St. Stephen's Presbyterian Church, 2424 N.W. 50th Street, Oklahoma City. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Arden's Animal Fund. proceeds will go to local animal shelters.
