Berniece's Obituary

Berniece was born on Dec 2, 1931, in Kingfisher, Oklahoma, to Edward and Rose Gabriel. She worked as an elevator operator at the American National Building in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and later at Bundy Candy Company for several years. Berniece attended Zion Lutheran Church in Oklahoma City as a young woman until joining Britton Baptist Church. She and her husband Billy attended Britton Baptist for 37 years. In the last few years, she attended Village Baptist Church. Berniece and Billy McElvany, her beloved husband, were married for 56 years until his death in 2018. She is survived by one niece, Janet Kates, of Oklahoma City, and one nephew, Andy Gordon, of Yukon, Oklahoma. Private burial services will be at Resurrection Memorial Cemetery in Oklahoma City. In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to Mission OKC, Oklahoma City.
