Linda's Obituary
BLAYLOCK Linda Kathleen, of OKC was born 09/24/1947 to Arbuary F. (Slim) Blaylock and Ruth (Puckett) Blaylock in Guthrie, OK. She was called home to be with the Lord on 09/05/2025.
Linda graduated from Central State College (UCO) in 1969 and worked for many years for the State of Oklahoma Employment Security Commission as adjudicator. She loved playing golf, watching baseball, and rooting for her OU Sooners in all sports. Linda was a lifelong member of the Republican Party and was frequently involved in events. She assisted with campaigns on many occasions in the late 60’s, 70’s and 80’s. Linda helped with the campaigns of Henry Bellmon and Mickey Edwards, and was invited personally to attend inaugurations for Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan, and George HW Bush. In 1992, Linda had the honor of serving as a presidential elector for the state of Oklahoma in the presidential election.
Linda had a love of genealogy research and traced back her family roots in her spare time. She also loved watching movies, and loved having pets. She had a great sense of humor, and was always quick with a one-liner and had a boisterous, instantly recognizable laugh.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Carol Ann Blaylock; three cousins, George W McDonough (Jeepy), Marta (Jackson) Lowe, and Gerald Ray Jackson.
She is survived by a host of distant relatives, loving friends and former co-workers.
Memorial services will be under the direction of Demuth Funeral Home with final resting place at Memorial Park Cemetery. Graveside services will be held at 2:00pm at Memorial Park Cemetery on Friday the 12th of September.
