Edna's Obituary
Devoted and loving Daughter, Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Aunt, & Friend.
Edna was born on February 18th, 1942, in Albion Oklahoma, to William & Perlie Ashworth. She has one surviving sister, Shirley Whitehead. Edna was an adoring wife to husband, Clifford, until he passed. They loved each other endlessly for the 59 years they spent together. During their marriage she had 3 children Paula, Eddy and Teddy. Edna was a kindhearted and gracious mother who loved fiercely. She carried that love and kindness with her when she earned the title of Grandma to Heather, Mark & Lily and again when she became a Great-Grandma to Adelynn, Collin, & Aspen.
Edna had the heart to serve and cared deeply about the people close to her. Her caring heart led her to Millwood Public Schools where she served youth, in both the library and the cafeteria. Once retired, Clifford and Edna retreated to a beautiful, quiet, home in Yanush, Oklahoma. Here they built connection after connection at the Buffalo Valley Baptist Church. They were involved in church events and became beloved members of their congregation.
The woman we are going to remember looks different for everyone, but will not be forgotten by anyone. Our sweet Edna, Mom, Grandma, and GGma will be remembered with love and light always.
A service will held at Demuth Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 6th, 2026. at 2:00 P.M. Burial will follow at Britton Cemetery.
