Kelmith's Obituary

Kelmith Thomas Freeman passed away on March 29th after a brief illness. Born on September 4th, 1936, to Levenia "Vennie" Cogburn and Willie James Freeman, Kelmith grew up in Clayton, Oklahoma. After marrying Aline "Sandra" Freeman, the couple settled in Oklahoma City to raise a family. Their four daughters, Lois, Sandra, Angie and Vicki, soon joined the family home.

A lover of stories from the family tree, Kelmith could be counted on to recount hair-raising tales and zany yarns of days gone by. He developed a career in auto repair and the dry cleaning business, but would often spend his free time fishing or participating in Alcoholics Anonymous functions where he was a chairman for many years.

He is survived by his four daughters, a bevy of grandchildren, and a far flung group of grandchildren.
