Danny Lee Witten born September 1, 1943 to parents Don and Peggy Witten in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma died this past Saturday April 3, 2021 at the age of 77 years old. A graduate of John Marshall High School, he went to Central State University where he graduated with a Degree in Business Administration with a Minor in Accounting. He met his beloved wife while working at his fathers grocery store, Precures, where he worked from the age of 16 through college. Danny and Susan married on October 8, 1966 at Britton Methodist Church. On their wedding night, Danny carried Susan across the threshold, excused himself, went back out to the car to carry his second love across the threshold, his golf clubs. After working for the State of Oklahoma for 10 years, Danny began working in taxes in the mid- 70s. He has been a tax man since, running his business, Danny Witten Tax Service since 1980. He was a deacon at Britton Road Church of Christ. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Susan Claudette Witten. Sister Donna Ervin, brother Bill and wife Susan E. Witten. His daughter Shannon and husband Cory Chesnut; son Scott and wife Elisa Witten; and his daughter Stacy and husband Mike Keller. His grandson Hunter and wife Gabrielle Chesnut, grandson Timothy and wife MaryKatheryn Chesnut; granddaughter Reese Witten and grandson Conner Witten; granddaughter Kalie and husband Jake Rowley, grandson Bryce Webb, granddaughter Olivia Webb, and granddaughters Shelby and Sidney Keller. His great-grandchildren Arriah, Hunter, and Delaney Chesnut. As well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members. His funeral service will be held at Britton Road Church of Christ, Thursday, April 8, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. with burial to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive visitors Wednesday, April 7, 2021 from 5-7 P.M at Demuth Funeral Home.
