Louise's Obituary

Louise Towe Burris, 82, passed away April 3, 2021 in Oklahoma City. She was born January 22, 1939, as the youngest of “Doc” & Emily Wolfe. Louise attended Harding, NW Classen, & Rollins College in Winter Park FL with her best friend Gloria as well as OU, where she was a member of Gamma Phi Beta. Louise married her high school boyfriend Charles Towe, & to this union 4 children were born. In 1989 Louise married Bob Burris until his death in 2019. Louise was affectionately known by most as “Weezie”. She loved having family around, vacations at the beach, rooting for the Sooners, being the “fun mom” and planting her beautiful flowers. A close friend said, “people don’t just like Louise, they love Louise.” She  was predeceased by her parents, Doc & Em, brother Joe Wolfe, sisters Dixie Jordan & Marian Beard. She is survived by her 4 children, Dixie Cunningham (Wylie), Charles Jr. (Becky), Marian Pilzner (Anthony), Bill Towe & 16 grandchildren. The family wishes to thank her care giver, Trisa Pressley for the loving care provided this past year. Funeral services are to be held at Crossings Church OKC on April 30^th at 1pm.
