Billy's Obituary

Billy Doyle McMeans was born February 27, 1955 in Duncan, OK to JL McMeans and Barbara (Davis) McMeans. He passed away peacefully on September 3, 2025 after a short but courageous battle with cancer.

Billy graduated from Velma High School and went on to attend junior college in Chickasha. He then began working for the State of Oklahoma and retired after 31 years - his entire career with the Department of Central Services in Contracting and Purchasing. After retirement, he continued working in Purchasing as a contract employee with Tourism. He then went to work at Oklahoma City Public Schools in Purchasing and retired after 5 years with them.

Billy loved to have a good time and was a jokester. He is well known and will always be remembered by his signature salute. 😃.

Billy was preceded in death by his mother Barbara McMeans, brother Leslie McMeans, grandparents, and best friend Shirley Hull. He leaves behind his dad JL McMeans, brother Tony McMeans, niece Melody Ruiz and family, and many other family members and many friends.
