Beverly's Obituary

Beverly Joan Kelly passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family on September 18, 2025. She was born in OKC on December 19, 1934 and lived her whole life in OKC. She graduated from Capitol Hill High School in 1952 and remained close to her high school friends throughout her life. She met her future husband, George "Pat” Kelly at a banking convention in 1958 and they married in 1959. They had two daughters Tracy and Patti. They celebrated 66 years of marriage before his passing in 2024. After raising their daughters, Bev went to work as a secretary for the Oklahoma House of Representatives and was there for 19 years. After her retirement, she volunteered at BritVil Community Food Pantry for 20+ years and knitted hats for newborn babies. She was a long time member of The Village United Methodist Church and served there in many ways. She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister and her husband. She is survived by her two daughters Tracy Holden (Mark) and Patti Brett (John). She had five grandchildren and one great grandchild. She is also survived by her nephew Greg Rowland (Mike) and they spent every Wednesday together at the casino. The family would like to say a special thank you to her wonderful neighbors Carlos, Starlett, and Ray. We can’t thank them enough for all they have done over the years. At Beverly's request there will be no memorial service. The family requests donations be made to the BritVil Community Food Pantry and the YWCA Oklahoma City (Women’s Shelter).
