Michael's Obituary

Michael Don Carmack, 70, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away on March 31, 2026. He was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend whose kindness and generosity touched many lives.

Mike was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, on November, 18, 1955, to Leroy and Norma Carmack. He graduated from John Marshall High School and worked in grocery retail for more than 50 years. Mike enjoyed antiquing, swapping recipes, reading, playing games, gardening, and weekly meal time with family. He dearly loved his church family at Bethany Nazarene Church, where he faithfully attended for many years.

Mike’s life was marked by kindness, generosity, and love for his family and church community. He lived out his faith in simple but meaningful ways and was always ready to help others. While he will be deeply missed, those who loved him take comfort knowing he is now at peace in the presence of the Lord.

Mike is survived by his sister, Carla Raines; his brother, Jerry Carmack and wife Debbi; nephew Todd Raines and wife Theresa; niece Tiffany Rupp and husband Arnold; niece Tabitha Raines; niece Jennifer Sonntag and husband Kevin; niece Stefanie Appleton and husband Rusty; nine great-nieces and nephews; four great-great-nieces and nephews; and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leroy and Norma Carmack, and his brother-in-law, Jim Raines.

A celebration of Mike’s life will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, April 8, at Bethany Nazarene Church, followed by a private family graveside service at Memorial Park Cemetery in Edmond, Oklahoma.
