Maurice's Obituary

Maurice L. Dean, 73, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at home. Maury was in the 1969 graduating class of Silver Creek High School in Sellersburg, Indiana. Maury spent the majority of his career managing and operating convenience stores through the Phillips 66 Corporation and Circle K.

Maury enjoyed playing golf, fishing, spending time with family and friends, and being active in his church. But his biggest joy was being “MoMo” to the 4 decades of children that attended their in-home daycare.

Maury is survived by his loving wife of 36 years Elaine K. Dean nee Taylor, his daughter Melonie (Nick) White, his estranged son Damon Randall Dean, his mother Betty L. Dean, siblings Diane G. Bennett, Daniel L. Dean (Carol), Rita D. Becker, and David W. Dean.

Maury was preceded in death by his Papaw Maurice S. Dean, his father Daniel L. Dean, brother-in-law Stephen J. Becker, special brother in Christ Johnny, and his special pups Muffin, Lil Bit, Radar and Hannah Belle.
