Margie's Obituary

The sun & stars are shining brighter now as our lord & savior has welcomed our wonderful mother, grandma & GG, Marjorie (Margie) Elaine Wilkes Malone into the gates of heaven. She was born Oct 22, 1931 in Oklahoma City. Mom lived in Oklahoma City all her life except when living in Cookson, OK, Lake Tenkiller.

She departed this life Monday, August 26, 2024. Margie was married to her wonderful sweetheart, John Robert Malone, Jr. on Sept 23, 1950. They shared over 51 years of love together. They have 3 children Sharon, Margaret, & Robert.

She is preceded in death by her parents Samuel and Gertie Wilkes, brother Bob Wilkes, husband John Malone, daughter Margaret Lenz, and grandson Jonathan Fanning.

She is survived by Sharon & husband Larry Fanning, 3 sons& 2 daughters. Scott Dawson/Gina, 2 daughters Brogan & Ella. Sam Dawson/Summer & 2 sons Eli & Everett. Dina Fanning/Leslie & Londa Dick. 2 sons Josh/Danielle, daughter Kayla, Nick & son Holden. Robert/Linda, daughter Megan/Carlos Perez, Jackson & Jake, Parker/Stephanie 1 son Myles, 2 daughters, Oakley, Eliott (Ellie).

Mom worked/retired Okla. Dept of Transportation. She was also a member of Daughters of the Nile where she served as Queen for 1 year.

The family would like to thank Valir Hospice Unit along with Dr. Dreier & his staff. Mom was blessed in so many ways.

The family also wishes in lieu of flowers donations be made to the India Children’s Transportation Fund, 3601 N.W. 36, OKC, OK 73112.

There will be no memorial or funeral per our mother’s request.
