Jason's Obituary

Jason Michael Combs peacefully passed away on February 18, 2021.  He was born on July 21, 1968 to James and Glenna Combs.  He grew up in McCloud, Oklahoma where he played football and was in the band.  He went to Oklahoma State for two years after high school. 

The majority of his life, Jason served his community.  He was a long time corrections officer for OCSO and a School Resource Officer for Oklahoma City Public Schools.  Jason loved working with the students of OKCPS and his fellow resource officers.  He always had candy in his desk to give the students and frequently bought things to give to students in need. 

In 2005 his world changed forever, when he became a father.  His son Thorne was the most important thing in the world to him.  He loved being a dad.  He loved sharing his extensive knowledge of music and history with his son.  He loved taking him fishing and shopping at the flea market.   

He loved life and loved his family and friends deeply.  He was a huge fan of the OK State Cowboys and professional football.  He loved rock music, going to concerts with his friend Taylor and going to the gun range for target practice.  He enjoyed grilling and cooking for his family.  He was a big history buff and loved watching ID and Court TV. 

Jason is preceded in death by his parents, James and Glenna Combs and his brother Scotty.  He is survived by his wife Christie, his son Thorne Tyler Combs, best friends Taylor McKinney and Tiffany Haswell, as well as extended family and numerous friends and colleagues from OKCPS. 

The family will be celebrating his life in a private ceremony.  This summer his wife and son, will scatter his ashes in his favorite spot.
