Betty's Obituary


Gerhart, Betty Sue, 88 of Oklahoma City, OK was called home by her Father on October 12, 2021 in Oklahoma City, OK at her home and surrounded by her loving family. Born April 24th, 1933 in Rusk, Texas to Henry Clay Burleson and Clara Beesinger Burleson. Married at a young age she devoted her life to being a homemaker and nurturing and caring for her seven children. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband and father of her children Jerry Lucas, her second husband Raymond Gerhart, three brothers, Jack, Paul and Everett and four sisters, Myrtle (passed away as an infant), Dean, Opalene, and Maude, a beloved grandson Brandon King, and a beloved great-grandson Dillian King. She is survived by her children Bonnie McKelvey and husband Gene, Patricia Vasquez, Jerry Lucas and wife Marla, Betty Rogers, Clara Mackiewicz, Floralee Levine, and Luke Lucas, a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, October 20th 2021 at 2:00PM at Britton Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park.
