Terry's Obituary

Terry Lee Meeker was a loving, kind, and generous son, brother, uncle, and friend. He suffered a brain aneurysm and was admitted to the hospital last week. He passed peacefully on February 7, 2026, at Mercy Hospital, surrounded by loved ones.

Terry was born on April 17, 1951, to Bob and LaNelle Meeker in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He spent his entire life serving the Oklahoma City community and was deeply proud of his career with the Oklahoma City Fire Department, where he faithfully served from 1972 to 2002. Terry devoted his life to his faith and family, growing in community with friends through weekly worship and prayer. He had a gift for listening and made everyone he met feel truly valued.

He was welcomed home by his parents, Bob and LaNelle Meeker; his brother, Dennis Meeker; his niece, Stacy Meeker; and his dear friends, Joni and Jim, along with several other beloved friends and family members. Cherishing his memory are Hannah Meeker; Vickie and Nathan Edwards; Tippy and Peggy Stewart; Luke Simms; Sheri Betts-Meeker; and many loving friends and extended family.

In recognition of the many men and women with whom he served, members of the Fire Fighters fraternity will have the opportunity to honor their fallen brother with a “Last Alarm” service on Thursday, February 19, at 1:00 p.m. at Bridgeway Church, 228 W. Hefner Rd.
