Joe's Obituary


Joe Robert Richardson of Piedmont, OK passed away suddenly on June 28, 2023. He was born to Joe and Maxine (Ford) Richardson in Shamrock, TX on August 27, 1957. He was a loving husband and dedicated father who will be greatly missed by his large family and many friends.

 

Joe grew up in Hollis, OK, and worked as a pipe recovery specialist in the oilfield for 40 years. He traveled widely to sites where his expertise was required. For decades, Joe dedicated his time to his sons and their friends at Special Olympics. He was passionate about repairing and restoring classic cars with his sons. He was a family man who enjoyed fishing, boating, and four-wheeling with his loved ones.

 

He is survived by his wife Lori of Piedmont, sons Jason and Jared of Kingfisher, sister Britta and husband Richard Aguero of Dodson, TX, brother John Ross and wife Barbara of Hollis and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Lana Barnes.

 

A Celebration of Life will be held at Channing Unitarian Universalist Church in Edmond, OK on Wednesday, July 5th at 1:00 pm.
