Shirley's Obituary
Shirley May Walker passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday June 22nd with her faithful companion Roxy by her side.
Shirley was born on June 26, 1935, in Portland, OR. She married her high school sweetheart Red (Raulin) in August of 1953, who proceeded her in death in 2020. She was a proud Coast Guard wife who moved around the country with her husband and kids. She worked part time jobs when her kids were young and then retired from a dental office after 15 years. Shirley loved to be in her garden, so much she became a Master Gardner. She took up yoga and Tai Chi in the last 20 years of her life. She cherished family time the most. She deeply loved her siblings and did monthly hours long Zoom calls with them. She loved get togethers with all her kids and grandkid by her side.
Shirley is survived in death by her four children Sherry Ott, Julie and husband Dave Darby, Scott Walker, and Laurie and husband Pat Hollingsworth. Her siblings Mike and wife Sue Smith, Paul and wife Doris, and Gayle Koch. Ten Grandchildren Scott Odegaard, Judy Hudgins, Robert Walker, Kiley Reid, Red Walker, Haylee Barker, Rance Walker, Roady Hollingsworth, Race Walker, and Kayemyn Walker. Three Great-Grandchildren Autumn Hudgins, Josie Reid, and Zoe Reid.
Shirley was soft spoken, genuinely a nice, kind, wonderful soul, with such a sweet personality, you could not help but love. She was someone who was an example of the kind of person you would strive to be. She will be greatly missed.
