Mary's Obituary

Mary Karen Lowe of Midwest City passed from this earth on April 30, 2022 in Oklahoma

City.  She was born January 8, 1954 in Purcell, Oklahoma to James E. Norvell and Billie

Jean Carpenter.  Karen grew up participating in the Girl Scouts, was a cheerleader in

school, graduated from Grant High School in 1972, and was a member of the Episcopal

Church since her youth.

Karen's life can be summed up in one word:  selfless.  She led a life of service to her

family, friends, and any others that she met.  She worked for over 30 years for

Renaissance Physicians of Midwest City striving to improve medical service to the

women of Midwest City.  Karen made friends everywhere she went with her generous

spirit and disarming personality.  All who knew Karen could always be ready for a witty

quip or comeback in conversation.

Karen was preceded in death by her father James, mother Billie Jean, stepfather

Richard, infant son James, and husband John.  She is survived by son Zack of Midwest

City; Josh of Oklahoma City; daughter Lauren and husband Jacob of Denison, Texas;

daughter Cloey of Mustang; brother David and wife Susan of Ada; sister Kathy and

husband Doug of Oklahoma City; sister-in-law Cindy of Choctaw; two grandchildren,

and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Celebration of Life will be held on May 13, 2022 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Oklahoma
