Garry's Obituary

Garry Eugene Drennan, 70 of Oklahoma City, died Feb.10, 2021. Born Dec.9,1950

to William and Lillie Mae Drennan of Oklahoma City.  He is survived by his brothers

Ronald of Edmond and Lynn of Oklahoma City, Mary his sister-in-law, nephews Jason,

and Brian, Nieces Anne and Ericka. Great Nephews and Nieces AJ, Allison, Logan,

Baylee, Jaxson, and Noah.

He attended Britton Elementary and then on to John Marshall High School graduating

in 1969. One of his first jobs was a paper boy during the school years. Following high

school he followed his dad's footsteps in the carpentry trade (local 329). He was drafted

into the Army, serving a tour in Vietnam, with an Honorable discharge.

Garry loved the game of Pool, from a young age (12). By the time he got out of

the Army he was good, incredibly good. With the oil field booming he picked up the nick

name Driller and it stuck. He Played all over, Las Vegas, Kansas City, Dallas just to

name a few. Many players from around the country would seek him out for a game.

Some won but most went home losing to Driller. Many have said if you beat Driller

you had beat a great player. He is known all over as a player to reckon with. During

the last several years Driller spent most of his time in retirement at the Pool Room

playing and watching others play a game that he so dearly loved.

He will be missed.

Services will be at Classen Boulevard Baptist Church Thursday, February 25, 2021 at 2:00P.M.
