Dorothy's Obituary

Dorothy Jean Taylor, 90, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully in her home on May 30, 2023. She was born on March 18, 1933, in Otis, Kansas to William Jewell Harman and Viola Emma Lebsack. Dorothy worked as a secretary for Oklahoma Baptist University early in life and later as a Trust secretary in Oklahoma City at Liberty National Bank and May Avenue Bank. Dorothy played the organ at Tecumseh United Methodist Church in Tecumseh, Oklahoma and was an active member of the Shawnee chapter of PEO, and later in the Oklahoma City chapter. She was an avid reader and enjoyed playing bridge and did so until her illness. She was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and a loyal friend to all who knew her. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, William Jewell Harman and Viola Emma Harman, her husband, Jack Edward Taylor, her brother, Michael Clare Harman, and her son Richard Lee Dinger. She was survived by daughters Shelley Taylor Roberts and Teresa Taylor Daugherty, grandchildren Phineas Dinger, Justin Dinger, Natalie Daugherty, Taylor Roberts, Quinn Daugherty, Scout Daugherty, and great grandchildren Rutger Dinger, Ava Lee Dinger, Miles Dinger, Ruby Dinger and Emma Dinger.
