Brent's Obituary

Brent entered this world in Oklahoma, City, OK (OKC) on June 27, 1956, and left OKC to be with the Lord on May 30, 2026, at almost 70 years old - living what the Bible refers to as a full life. We feel blessed that he lived so many years since he struggled in his later life with severe Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD). He died of natural causes due to an infection that led to organ failure.

He will be remembered for being a track and cross country star, for his sharp wit, for his good looks, for being an excellent son, brother, and uncle, and for loving the Lord. Though he struggled with OCD, it brings us eternal joy to know that he is with the Lord and living whole again.

Brent graduated from John Marshall High School in 1974, followed by an undergraduate business degree and earning his M.B.A. at Oklahoma State University. He had a career in the energy industry as an independent petroleum landman.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Elaine Schooley, and survived by three siblings, Anne Dempsey of Pflugerville, TX (and her husband Dennis), Keith Schooley of Enid, OK, and Jill Ebaugh of Richardson, TX (and her husband David), and their families including five nieces, Tiffany, Emily, Tara , Meredith and Whitney, and two nephews, Tyler and Mark. He will be deeply missed by all who loved him.

A private family celebration of Brent's life and legacy will be held to honor his memory. May those who knew him find peace in remembering his life and the faith that sustained him throughout his journey.
