Bobbie Jerrell Schnorrenberg, lovingly known as Bob, passed away on September 21, 2026, at the age of 91 after a long and well-lived life. A beloved husband, dad, and granddad, he leaves a legacy of laughter, friendship, service, and love.

Born on April 15, 1935, Bob was the only child of Harold and Mabel Caroline Schnorrenberg. He earned his bachelor’s degree in geology from Oklahoma State University, where he was a member of Acacia fraternity. To earn extra money during college, he served as the fraternity’s house manager, ordering meat, planning menus, and guarding the kitchen from hungry fraternity brothers—a responsibility that undoubtedly put his sense of humor to good use.

Bob married Carolyn Speck in 1956, and they had three children: Ellen, Carol, and Don. In 1981, he married Mary Margaret Ceeder.

Bob owned Dead Shot Pest Control and served as president of the National Pest Association before retiring in the mid-1990s. His commitment to helping others extended well beyond his professional life. An active member of Alcoholics Anonymous since 1979, he never turned down an opportunity to be of service. He sponsored others, organized and chaired conferences, and served on the board of directors at Valley Hope. His generosity and friendship touched many lives.

Bob found joy in reading, gardening, and traveling, especially to Colorado and Angel Fire, New Mexico. Sherlock Holmes was a favorite, and he loved settling in front of his fireplace with a good book and his pipe. He enjoyed James Bond movies, British mystery television, and watching football. With his wonderful sense of humor and repertoire of silly songs, Bob never met a stranger and made friends wherever he went.

A lifelong dog lover, Bob shared his home with many beloved pets over the years. Eventually, Edith, the cat, adopted him, and he loved her dearly.

Bob’s family includes his children, Ellen Edwards and her husband, Brian; Carol; and Don and his wife, Lisa. His grandchildren include Shannon and her husband, Scott; Lauren and her husband, Chris; Kasey Gomez and her husband, Pepe; Matthew Conway and his wife, Kendra; Maria and her husband, Danny; and Dietrich. His great-grandchildren include Diego, Liliana, Calista, Daniel, Viktor, Ben, Rowan, Dylan, Adrian, Jazmin, Zoey, and John.

The family will be forever grateful to Acclaim Independent Living, where Bob lived for five years and formed cherished friendships with residents and staff alike. They also extend their heartfelt gratitude to Featherstone Assisted Living, where he spent his final five months. The staff’s care, concern, and love brought him comfort, and he deeply enjoyed and valued their company. Special thanks go to the chaplains, nurses, and aides of Heart to Heart Hospice, whose compassion comforted Bob and supported his family.

After 91 years, Bob grew tired, and so did his heart. He was deeply loved and will be forever missed. His laughter, silly songs, kindness, and willingness to help others will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.

Private services will be held.
