Jo Anne's Obituary

Jo Anne (Jo) Burney Hall passed away on April 14, 2023, at the age of 87. She was born on July 19, 1935, in Oklahoma City, at Saint Anthony Hospital, to Joseph Wesley Burney and Addie Olevia Anderson Burney.

She was predeceased by her parents, one sister, Marquita Burney Dorman, one brother, William Anderson Burney, one sister-in-law, Joyce Essie Hall Johnson, and her husband, Earl Dennis Hall. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Lynne Ridley and her husband, Mitchell; her son Joseph James Hall and his wife, Wendy, and children Taylor, Stephen and Nicholas, granddaughters Misty Amber Steffen and Lacey Dian Hall, great-grandchildren Azure, Adin and Ashton, various great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Barbara Burney, and Buddy Johnson, husband of deceased sister-in-law, Joyce Johnson.

Jo lived in the Oklahoma City and Moore area all her life, graduating from high school in 1953. She also attended Oklahoma A&M College and Oklahoma City University.

She married Earl Dennis Hall on April 7, 1955, welcomed a daughter in 1961, and a son in 1966, which they proudly raised together.

Jo was an avid bowler for many years, and a fan of the OKC Blazer's Ice Hockey Team, as well as the OKC Thunder, the NBA and WNBA, and OSU football and basketball teams. She enjoyed painting, crafts and holidays spent with her family.

Viewing will be held Tuesday, April 18th, 2023, from 2:00 - 6:00 pm, at Demuth Funeral Home, 1145 W. Britton Rd, Oklahoma City, OK 73114.

Graveside Services will be held Thursday, April 20th, 2023, at 10:00 am, at Rose Hill Burial Park, Garden of Angels, 6001 NW Grand Blvd, Oklahoma City, OK 73118.
