Carolyn's Obituary
Surrounded by her loving family, Carolyn Caldwell Howell, died suddenly on September 19, 2025. Born on Veteran’s Day, November 11, 1944, in Houston, TX to Robert and Lois Caldwell. Her family moved often but they settled in OKC 1961. In 1963 she graduated from Harding High School where she met her future husband of 59 years, Richard. Together they had 2 sons, Chris and Robert. Carolyn worked part time during her marriage. She enjoyed her j0b at Arthur Graham’s where she worked for over 20 yrs. Carolyn adored all the dogs they had through the years, especially Gussie. She was passionate about the Arts Council, Special Olympics and Westminster Presbyterian Church where she serviced as a deacon. She also was a past President of the Oklahoma Art League. In their later years, Richard and Carolyn traveled extensively. Thirteen years ago, Carolyn and Richard were blessed with the delight of their lives, their granddaughter Isabella. Fondly remembering Carolyn are her husband, two sons, daughter-in-law Elisbeth, and two sisters-in-law, Susan Loftin and Beverly Caldwell and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased in death by her parents and her older brother Robert Caldwell, brother-in-law Bob Howell and sister-in-law, Liz Howell. Her passing leaves a huge hole in our hearts. Funeral services will be held at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 4400 N Shartel in OKC on Friday, September 26, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Westminster.
