Brandon's Obituary
Brandon Lee McLean, 34, of Oklahoma City, passed away on April 13, 2026. He was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He attended Edmond Public Schools, graduating from Edmond North High School, where he was a member of the school’s baseball team. His time on the field reflected his competitive spirit and teamwork, qualities that carried through every stage of his life. He went on to earn his degree from the University of Central Oklahoma in the spring of 2015.
Professionally, Brandon built a successful career as a Financial and Business Analyst. Known for his intelligence, strong work ethic, and attention to detail, he earned the respect of colleagues throughout his career. Most recently, he worked as an Estimating and Pricing Specialist for Boeing, where he continued to grow and contribute meaningfully in his field.
In June of 2017, Brandon married his wife, Zanada. Together, they built a beautiful family and were blessed with five precious children: Aden, Eliana, Koen, Jace, and Lane. Brandon loved his family deeply and took great pride in his role as a dad. His laughter was the heartbeat of their home, often sparked by the legendary “dad jokes” he loved to share with his children.
Brandon shared a uniquely close bond with his brothers, Tyler and Austin. Just 22 months apart, Brandon and Tyler grew up side by side, creating a lifelong friendship built on loyalty, respect, and countless shared memories. Brandon looked up to Tyler in many ways, and that admiration remained a constant throughout his life. As Brandon grew older, he and Austin became especially close, particularly during Brandon’s high school years. Brandon’s influence played a significant role in shaping Austin, inspiring him not only to attend the University of Oklahoma as Brandon had, but also to play baseball throughout his Little League and high school years. Their bond continued into adulthood, including the time they worked together at Boeing. Some of their best memories were made together riding four wheelers on their grandparents’ ranch in southeastern Oklahoma, fishing, exploring, and playing golf with their dad, Matt.
He also cherished the friendships he built from a young age, playing baseball and pee wee football for the Cowboys. Those early bonds carried through his time at Edmond North High School, where he continued building lasting friendships with his baseball teammates.
An avid outdoorsman, Brandon found peace and happiness in nature. Whether he was fishing, dove hunting at the Bomhoff Ranch in Okarche, or cheering on the Sooners at OU football games, he loved life outdoors. He found God’s presence everywhere from the rugged peaks of the mountains to the rhythm of the beach where he created lasting memories with those he held dear. Brandon leaves behind a legacy of faith, joy, and a deep love for his family, teaching his children to find beauty in God’s creation and strength in family love.
Brandon was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Arnold Gregory and Bud McLean. He is survived by his wife, Zanada McLean; his children, Aden, Eliana, Koen, Jace, and Lane; his parents, Matt and Amber McLean; his brother Tyler McLean and his wife Kim, along with their daughters Sloane and Josie; his brother Austin McLean; his grandmothers, Jethelyn Gregory and Kova McLean; as well as many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, and a wide circle of friends who meant so much to him.
